Job Summary

Bringing clinical and data science expertise, the remote Applied Data Scientist, Health AI will design and evaluate datasets for health-domain models, ensuring clinical validity and compliance while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Translate customer goals into dataset specifications, taxonomies, and evaluation plans for health AI applications
• Design and evaluate multimodal health AI datasets, ensuring clinical relevance and statistical defensibility
• Build and implement quality checks for healthcare datasets, focusing on bias analysis and compliance with regulations

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of data science experience, including 2+ years in healthcare or regulated health data
• Working knowledge of healthcare data standards such as EHR structure, ICD-10, and CPT
• Hands-on experience designing ML datasets and writing annotation guidelines
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL, with familiarity in tools like pandas and scikit-learn
• Degree in a relevant field such as biostatistics, health informatics, or computer science with a health focus
