Applied Healthcare Researcher
Job Summary
Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Applied Healthcare Researcher will engage with AI researchers to identify and validate healthcare data solutions for model-development challenges, while managing customer relationships and conducting applied research.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as the primary technical and research point of contact for healthcare customer conversations
- Develop and evaluate methods to demonstrate dataset efficacy for customer training objectives
- Produce reusable research and technical collateral to streamline future opportunities
Required qualifications
- Advanced degree (PhD or Master's plus 3+ years industry experience) in a quantitative field such as machine learning, computer science, or biomedical informatics
- Hands-on experience building and evaluating ML or LLM-based systems on real-world healthcare data
- Strong proficiency in Python and SQL for data analysis
- Experience working directly with healthcare data, including claims, EMR/EHR, and clinical notes
- Demonstrated ability to translate ambiguous goals into concrete research plans while working with technical stakeholders
