Applied Machine Learning Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Applied ML Engineer to contribute to machine learning and perception tasks in maritime systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, train, and evaluate models for various tasks including object detection and anomaly detection
• Optimize model architectures and inference pipelines for performance on embedded/edge hardware
• Support prototyping and experimentation across AI subfields, including computer vision and signal processing

Qualifications:

• Master's or PhD in Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Robotics, or related field; Bachelor's candidates considered on a case-by-case basis
• 4+ years of experience building and deploying machine learning models
• Proficiency in Python and experience with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow
• Experience with edge or embedded ML deployments, including model compression
• Familiarity with common ML practices such as cross-validation and hyperparameter tuning
