Applied Machine Learning Manager

Job Summary

Leading a team of applied ML scientists, the full-time remote Applied Machine Learning Manager will manage the development and execution of fraud detection and identity verification models while coaching team members and collaborating with senior leadership to deliver impactful ML solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Directly manage and mentor a growing team of applied ML scientists, setting engineering and modeling practices
• Own execution for the area, including prioritization, delivery, and results produced by the team
• Develop and improve fraud detection and identity models across the full lifecycle, from data acquisition to production deployment

Required qualifications

• 6+ years of industry experience in machine learning or statistics, including 3+ years managing teams
• Experience in fraud, identity, fintech, or related risk-focused domains
• Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, or a related quantitative field
• Proven success in developing and deploying production machine learning models with production-quality Python code
• Comfortable with modern LLMs and AI-assisted development workflows, with sound judgment in data governance
