Applied Scientist II

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Applied Scientist II to build and improve machine learning and GenAI models for underwriting decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and advance ML and GenAI models that power underwriting decisions and risk selection
• Drive and execute ML projects end-to-end, including model design, evaluation, and deployment
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure models integrate into production workflows

Required Qualifications

• Ph.D. or MS in a quantitative or computational field or equivalent practical experience
• 5+ years of experience developing and deploying ML solutions in production
• Hands-on experience with supervised and unsupervised learning methods
• Strong proficiency in Python and core ML libraries, as well as SQL
• Minimum 1+ year of experience in insurance underwriting modeling
