AppSec Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a development and cloud-focused AppSec Engineer, this full-time position will work remotely to embed security practices throughout the software development lifecycle, balancing security needs with delivery timelines while collaborating across teams.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with various teams to ensure security is integrated from feature design through development, including design reviews and threat modeling
• Communicate security risks to non-technical stakeholders while balancing security requirements with project delivery needs
• Identify and assess security risks associated with AI tools and assist in implementing AI-assisted security tooling across various domains

Required qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in a security or development role with a focus on embedding security practices in software development
• Proficiency in at least one cloud platform (preferably Azure) and familiarity with languages such as .NET/C#, JavaScript, and Python
• Experience with security tooling, including SAST, SCA, and DAST, as well as integrating security into CI/CD pipelines
• Working knowledge of AI development tools and experience securing AI applications would be highly regarded
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams
