AR Collections Specialist

Job Summary

Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the AR Collections Specialist will manage claim audits, create submissions, and address billing issues related to mental health and substance use disorder services.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct daily audits of client accounts to ensure proper billing and authorization
• Communicate with staff to resolve billing inaccuracies and manage rejected claims
• Document actions throughout the claim lifecycle and identify trends in claim denials

Required qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; Associate's Degree preferred
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in medical billing or related fields
• Experience with Lean Process Management (e.g., Lean Six Sigma) is a plus
• Certification such as CPC, CPAT, or CPAM preferred but not required
• Ability to use personal computer and meet software security standards
