AR Follow Up Specialist

Job Summary

Working remotely on a full-time basis, the AR Follow Up Specialist will manage follow-ups with insurance carriers on aged claims, research insurance issues, and ensure resolution of payment discrepancies.

Key responsibilities

• Following up on unresolved claims and checking claim status via phone and online resources
• Identifying reasons for non-payment and taking appropriate actions to resolve issues
• Managing patient balances as assigned and completing special projects as needed

Required qualifications

• 2+ years of A/R follow-up (Insurance Collections) experience
• Medical billing experience is helpful; hospital claims experience preferred
• Proficiency in problem solving and research with a focus on organization
• 2+ years of office experience where problem solving was essential
• Prior computer experience and ability to summarize account details concisely
