AR Payment Posting Specialist

Job Summary

Managing all aspects of the claims lifecycle, the full-time AR Payment Posting Specialist will ensure accurate and timely reimbursement for services by identifying and resolving unpaid claims, collaborating with various departments, and applying payments for Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial Insurances.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, investigate, and resolve unpaid claims through payor portals and direct communication with insurance companies
• Submit claims' reconsiderations and appeals while documenting account activity and managing medical records requests
• Collaborate with Billing, Cash Posting, Contracting, and Intake teams on issues affecting account resolution

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree or relevant certification preferred, with CPC being highly advantageous
• Minimum of 2+ years of experience in following up and resolving outstanding medical claims
• Knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10 coding, and payer rules related to behavioral health services
• Proficiency in using EHR systems and insurance verification software
• Access to reliable internet and telephone services with specified bandwidth requirements for remote work
