AR Payment Posting Specialist

Job Summary

Managing all aspects of the claims lifecycle, the full-time AR Payment Posting Specialist will ensure accurate and timely reimbursement for services by investigating unpaid claims, following up with payers, and handling denial management.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, investigate, and resolve unpaid claims through payor portals and direct communication with insurance companies
• Research denials, submit appeals, and document account activity while collaborating with various departments on account resolution
• Apply manual and auto payments to accounts for Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial Insurances, analyzing EOB information for accuracy

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree or relevant certification preferred, with CPC being advantageous
• Minimum of 2+ years of experience in resolving outstanding medical claims
• Knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10 coding, and payer rules related to behavioral health services
• Proficiency in EHR systems and insurance verification software
• Access to reliable internet and telephone services for remote work
