AR Specialist

Job Summary

Supporting the billing teams, the full-time AR Specialist will manage insurance communications to ensure prompt reimbursement for therapy sessions and actively pursue outstanding accounts receivable in a remote setting.

Key responsibilities:

• Review A/R Aging Reports and follow up with insurance companies regarding outstanding claims
• Document follow-up work on aging claims and communicate any trends in denials to the Customer Billing Advocate
• Utilize denial management platforms for submitting appeals and research specific payor billing rules as needed

Required qualifications:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Minimum 1-year experience in billing with major commercial insurance companies and state Medicaid programs
• Experience using insurance company websites and proficient in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word)
• ABA billing experience
• Professional writing and phone skills
