AR Specialist

Job Summary

To ensure the timely collection of outstanding healthcare insurance receivables, the full-time AR Specialist will verify patient eligibility, update insurance information, and conduct research on unpaid claims while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Verify or obtain patient eligibility and authorization for healthcare services through various methods
• Conduct research on unpaid or denied claims and contact payers to secure payment
• Monitor claims for missing information and prepare claims for clinical audit processing as needed

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• At least two years of experience in healthcare insurance accounts receivable follow-up
• Experience identifying billing errors and resubmitting claims
• Knowledge of accounts receivable practices and third-party payer billing procedures
• Demonstrated ability to navigate accounts receivable software and Microsoft Office applications
