AR Specialist - Physician Billing

Job Summary

Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the AR Specialist - Physician Billing will manage the full lifecycle of claims, including eligibility verification, claim submission, and accounts receivable follow-up, while collaborating with healthcare providers to enhance revenue cycle efficiency.

Key responsibilities:

• Verify insurance coverage and benefits, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with payer guidelines
• Submit clean claims directly to payers and resolve front-end claim edits and rejections at the source system level
• Analyze denial trends and collaborate with cross-functional teams to address systemic issues impacting claim payments

Required qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED; CRCR or CRCS certification preferred
• 3-5 years of experience in hospital and/or physician revenue cycle roles, covering key areas such as billing and AR follow-up
• Hands-on experience with direct claim submissions to payers, including Medicare and Medicaid
• Comprehensive knowledge of UB-04 and CMS-1500 claim forms and related coding
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel for data management and reporting
