Arabic Language Subject Matter Expert

Job Summary

To support the revision of a year-long Arabic 1 course for high school students, the independent contractor Arabic Language Subject Matter Expert will review and enhance course materials, align learning objectives with Michigan content standards, and collaborate with instructional design staff in a remote capacity.

Key responsibilities

• Review and revise course standards, learning objectives, and assessments for alignment with Michigan content standards
• Write rigorous, standards-aligned assessment scripts and lesson content for an asynchronous online experience
• Coordinate with instructional designers and project partners to ensure consistency and quality across course materials

Required qualifications

• Fluency in both Arabic and English, both written and spoken
• Ability to write clear learning objectives and comprehensive lesson content
• Experience in aligning learning objectives with Michigan State Standards
• Proven experience in content writing deliverables
• Experience writing curriculum for or teaching at a high school level is preferred
