Job Summary
Seeking a part-time contract Arabic Speaking Journalistic Storytelling Writer, the role will involve conducting interviews in Arabic and crafting compelling English-language stories that document the experiences of children and the community, aiming to inspire and challenge perceptions surrounding orphanages and vulnerable children.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct interviews with organizational leaders, caregivers, staff, and children to gather stories
- Transform interviews into polished narratives in English that reflect the authentic voices of the subjects
- Document the organization's history and community life through a diverse range of storytelling styles
Required qualifications
- Fluency in spoken Arabic, preferably Egyptian Arabic, with strong interview skills
- Excellent written English with demonstrated experience in journalism or narrative nonfiction
- Ability to handle sensitive topics with empathy and emotional intelligence
- Experience in human-interest storytelling and the ability to connect individual stories to a broader mission
- A warm, feminine storytelling voice is highly preferred
