Architect

Job Summary

Managing architectural design projects, the full-time Architect will conceive and prepare working drawings for new and modified structures while leading project teams and fostering client relationships in a flexible remote work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Conceive, design, and prepare working drawings for architectural projects across various markets
• Lead and supervise junior architects in the preparation of plans, specifications, and permit applications
• Coordinate project activities with internal teams and clients to build lasting relationships

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Architecture with ten plus years of relevant experience
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office; knowledge of Microsoft Project is a plus
• Understanding of local codes and standards, including City of Chicago, NFPA, ANSI, and IBC
• Ability to perform quantity take-offs and advanced cost estimating
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
