Architectural Designer

Job Summary

Leading the architectural design process for new school campuses, the full-time Architectural Designer will manage site feasibility, permitting, and product specification while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct site feasibility studies, including code analysis and zoning reviews, to evaluate potential new locations
• Manage the permitting process across jurisdictions and coordinate with civil engineers and local architects
• Research and specify furniture, equipment, and branded materials for each campus, creating a vendor list and product catalog

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in architectural project management or interior design with ownership from design through construction
• Experience in developing design standards for multi-location rollouts
• Background in educational, retail, or hospitality environments where physical space is crucial
• Deep understanding of building codes, ADA, fire life safety, zoning, and permitting across multiple jurisdictions
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or similar software, along with project management tools
