Job Summary
To support virtual education needs, the fully remote Arizona Certified Teacher of the Visually Impaired will provide 1:1 instruction during school hours, managing a caseload of 6-7 students over 119 days of service.
Key responsibilities
- Teach the school's curriculum using the district's virtual platform and develop lesson plans aligned with class objectives
- Engage and nurture student learning through relationship-focused strategies while tracking student performance and grades
- Attend district professional development sessions and collaborate with in-class facilitators to enhance the learning experience
Required qualifications
- Valid Arizona state Teacher of the Visually Impaired certification
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a professional educator
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college/university
- Access to a laptop or desktop computer, webcam, headset, and reliable internet
- Participation in a virtual skills teaching demonstration and submission of a background check are required
