Job Summary

To support the Cancer Center's operations, the full-time, remote Arizona Certified Tumor Registrar will maintain a data system on malignancy cases, retrieve and analyze registry data, and serve as a resource for accurate cancer-related information while ensuring compliance with ethical and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and report all cases of malignant disease from various medical facility resources
• Abstract core information from medical records within 6 months of diagnosis and maintain registry statistics
• Provide technical support and guidance to department staff regarding cancer-related documentation and follow-up

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent; college-level education preferred
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a medical-related field for Level One; 3 years in cancer registry for Level Two
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and cancer treatment modalities
• Effective interpersonal skills for collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
• Certification as a Certified Tumor Registrar (CTR) required for Level Two
