Arizona Licensed Authorization Representative

Job Summary

Working remotely on a full-time basis, the Arizona Licensed Authorization Representative will obtain and complete insurance authorization requests, verify insurance benefits, and document patient accounts to maximize reimbursement while minimizing denials.

Key responsibilities

• Accurately complete authorization initiation requests with payers and validate existing authorizations for various service lines
• Provide necessary authorization information to staff and maintain records of referral activity and authorizations in the system
• Respond to provider orders for tests and procedures, obtaining required authorizations while staying current on payer requirements

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum of three years of experience in healthcare insurance and/or authorizations
• Proficiency in common office software, including word processing and spreadsheets
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously with minimal supervision
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
