Arizona Licensed Behavioral Health Coding Manager

Job Summary

Leading a team of over 10 coders, the full-time remote Arizona Licensed Behavioral Health Coding Manager will oversee coding operations, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and support performance improvement initiatives within the Behavioral Health service lines.

Key responsibilities:

• Manage and develop coding staff through training, performance evaluations, and workflow direction
• Assist in achieving budgetary goals by monitoring coding accuracy and unbilled accounts receivable
• Collaborate with leadership to establish coding quality standards and implement best practices

Required qualifications:

• 5 years of recent experience in Behavioral Health coding
• Current certification through AAPC or AHIMA, with a leadership-level certification required
• Degree in Health Information or a related field with relevant coursework
• Strong knowledge of coding practices and applications in a healthcare setting
• Previous leadership experience preferred
