Job Summary

A company is looking for a Utilization Management Clinical Consultant (Behavioral Health).

Key Responsibilities

• Review clinical information and apply medical necessity criteria, guidelines, and clinical judgment
• Render coverage determinations and discharge planning decisions
• Coordinate with providers, internal teams, and external stakeholders to ensure appropriate benefit utilization

Required Qualifications

• Master's degree in behavioral health (LCSW, LPC, LMFT) or an Associate's degree for RN applicants
• Active Arizona LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or RN compact license with a behavioral health focus
• Minimum of 1 year of behavioral health utilization management experience
• Experience in clinical assessments with adult and/or child/adolescent populations
• Familiarity with medical necessity criteria such as InterQual, MCG, ASAM, or LOCUS
