Job Summary

A company is looking for a Chief Medical Officer, Health Plan (Based in AZ).

Key Responsibilities

• Provides executive strategy and leadership for medical affairs, focusing on quality improvement and utilization management
• Leads analysis of medical care costs and utilization data to address and correct issues while ensuring member care
• Oversees medical management staff to achieve high performance and directs medical management decisions to maximize member benefits

Required Qualifications

• At least 12 years of relevant health care leadership experience, including 2 years as a medical director in a managed care organization
• At least 7 years of health care management/leadership experience
• Active and unrestricted Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) license in Arizona
• Board certification
• Working knowledge of laws and regulatory requirements affecting medical and clinical staff
