Job Summary
Providing expert-level review of inpatient clinical records, the full-time Arizona Licensed Clinical Documentation Specialist will identify documentation gaps, communicate with providers for clarification, and lead initiatives to improve clinical documentation accuracy while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct expert-level reviews of inpatient clinical records within 24-48 hours of admission to ensure accurate code assignment
- Communicate daily with providers to clarify documentation needs and provide feedback on improvement opportunities
- Lead the development and execution of physician education strategies to enhance clinical documentation practices
Required qualifications
- Associate's degree
- RN with at least 1 year of CDI experience and a current RN license or Medical Graduate with CDI experience and CDI certification (CCDS, CDIP)
- Intermediate proficiency in using a PC in a Google environment and Electronic Medical Records
- 1+ years of experience working closely with physicians
