Job Summary

Arizona Licensed Databricks Architect, seeking a contract professional to lead the modernization of enterprise financial systems by transitioning legacy databases to a Databricks Lakehouse platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Validate and refine target architecture on Databricks, defining migration strategies for complex stored procedures
• Design distributed processing frameworks and optimize performance for user-facing reporting
• Implement data governance models and lead team knowledge transfer through code reviews and design sessions

Required Qualifications

• Expert-level knowledge of Databricks, Delta Lake, and Apache Spark/PySpark
• Strong background in SQL Server, T-SQL, and Stored Procedures
• Hands-on experience with Apache Airflow or similar orchestration tools
• Proven track record in performance tuning and cost optimization
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
