Job Summary
To support pharmacy operations, the part-time Arizona Licensed Drug Utilization Pharmacist will evaluate medication orders, maintain comprehensive customer profiles, and collaborate with healthcare teams while working remotely on a contract basis.
Key responsibilities
- Evaluate physician medication orders for appropriateness, dosage, and potential interactions, making recommendations as necessary
- Maintain thorough records of controlled substance transactions and ensure compliance with DEA regulations and state laws
- Collaborate with pharmacy technicians and engineering teams to troubleshoot automation issues and optimize workflows
Required qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Pharm.D. degree
- Active and unrestricted Pharmacy License in the state of employment
- Understanding of pharmacy laws and federal/state regulations
- Ability to manage high call volume while maintaining quality customer service
