Job Summary

To support patient scheduling and financial processes, the PRN Arizona Licensed Financial Counselor will verify insurance coverage, obtain patient demographics, and secure treatment authorizations while working remotely during daytime hours.

Key responsibilities

• Verifies patients' insurance coverage and eligibility, documenting details accurately in the system
• Creates and updates hospital accounts, ensuring timely entry of patient demographics and insurance information
• Contacts patients for financial counseling, collecting due payments and providing information on payment plans and financial assistance

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Associates degree in a related healthcare field preferred
• 1 year of experience in the healthcare field, including medical office insurance/front desk or hospital registration required
• 3 years of experience in the healthcare field preferred
