Arizona Licensed Infection Preventionist

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Infection Preventionist.

Key Responsibilities

• Conducts surveillance for healthcare-associated infections and prepares reports
• Interacts with healthcare staff as a consultant and makes recommendations for infection control
• Assists with infection control education and evaluates hospital policies related to infection prevention

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license with BSN preferred, OR Masters in Public Health (MPH), OR certified medical technologist, OR a bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field
• Minimum of two years clinical experience in a hospital setting or disease surveillance experience in a public health setting
• Must achieve Certification of Infection Control (CIC) within 6 months after required work experience
• Active Basic Life Skills certification is required for certain job locations
• Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card required for specific behavioral health settings
