Job Summary
Providing medical oversight for behavioral health services, the full-time Arizona Licensed Medical Director will manage clinical leadership for utilization management programs, implement integrated care strategies, and ensure compliance with industry standards.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee and standardize behavioral health utilization management policies to improve quality outcomes and reduce costs
- Facilitate regional medical necessity reviews and support behavioral health committees for quality compliance
- Implement clinical practice guidelines and track compliance with NCQA and CMS standards
Required qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) with an active and unrestricted license in Arizona
- Board Certification in Psychiatry
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, including 2 years in psychiatric/behavioral health practice
- Working knowledge of national, state, and local laws affecting medical and clinical staff
- Experience in cross-collaborative environments within a matrixed organization
