Arizona Licensed Mortgage Underwriter

Job Summary

Working remotely on a full-time basis, an Arizona Licensed Mortgage Underwriter will collaborate with the Underwriting Manager to ensure loan files are complete, accurate, and compliant with company and regulatory guidelines while applying internal loan approval policies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Apply internal loan approval policies and investor guidelines during the underwriting process
• Accurately calculate Loan-to-Value (LTV) and Debt-to-Income (DTI) ratios, and approve loans meeting company standards
• Conduct a holistic evaluation of each borrower's profile and communicate clear conditions for approval

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of mortgage underwriting experience with FHA, Conventional, and VA loan products
• DE (Direct Endorsement) Certification required; VA LAPP/SAR Certification preferred
• Proficiency with Desktop Underwriter (DU) and Loan Product Advisor (LP) required
• Strong understanding of investor and agency guidelines, credit risk, and compliance standards
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with sales teams and operational partners
