Job Summary
Offering a unique opportunity for Licensed Nurse Practitioners, the full-time Nursing Faculty will teach and evaluate students in both didactic and clinical settings while managing a 32-hour work week that includes one day dedicated to independent NP practice and one day of remote administrative tasks.
Key responsibilities
- Develops, implements, and evaluates the nursing education program's philosophy and curriculum
- Teaches and assesses students in the classroom and clinical settings, ensuring effective learning environments
- Mentors faculty and students while participating in program evaluation and revision activities
Required qualifications
- Graduate degree in nursing or related discipline; Bachelor's degree in nursing required if the graduate degree is not in nursing
- Minimum of three years' experience as a professional registered nurse providing direct patient care
- Current unencumbered state professional registered nurse license relevant to the teaching location
- Preferred Certified Nurse Educator certification and national certification in nursing specialty
- Demonstrated commitment to professional development through continuing education and nursing practice
