Arizona Licensed Patient Account Collector

Job Summary

To support the Patient Financial Services department, the full-time Arizona Licensed Patient Account Collector will manage account reconciliation, resolve credit balances, and submit appeals for underpaid claims while working remotely during standard day hours.

Key responsibilities

• Reconcile accounts daily to identify underpayments, overpayments, or necessary adjustments
• Maintain knowledge of regulatory billing requirements and provide training on reconciliation techniques to staff
• Interpret data processing reports to enhance departmental productivity and ensure compliance with policies

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required
• Preferred post-high school education in accounting or a medical business office certificate program
• Minimum of 18 months of patient accounts experience is required
• At least 18 months of experience in billing, collections, or Medicare/Commercial billings is required
• Five years of billing or collections experience is preferred
