Arizona Licensed Senior HIMS Technician

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior HIMS Technician.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily operations and monitor workflow within the health information management systems department
• Conduct releases of health information in compliance with policies and regulations, acting as a liaison for HIMS staff
• Support the integrity of the Electronic Medical Record through auditing activities and assist with departmental statistics and reporting

Required Qualifications

• One or more years of post-high school education or experience in medical records and information systems
• Three or more years of related work experience in a healthcare role with knowledge of health information management practices
• Strong technical skills in office and medical records software applications
• Ability to exercise independent judgment and prioritize work effectively
• Knowledge of medical terminology and HIMS department functions is preferred
