Job Summary

Specializing in stop loss insurance, the remote Arizona Licensed Senior Underwriter will evaluate, assess risk, and underwrite new and renewal business for self-funded employer groups while collaborating with brokers and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Underwrite new and renewal stop loss business in line with guidelines and profitability targets
• Analyze complex data related to self-funded employer groups, including claims experience and demographics
• Develop customized underwriting and pricing solutions in partnership with the Chief Underwriting Officer

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, actuarial science, or a related field; advanced degree or professional designations preferred
• 5-10 years of experience underwriting stop loss insurance for self-funded employer groups
• Strong knowledge of stop loss insurance products and market dynamics
• Proven ability to make sound risk decisions and contribute to profitable portfolio performance
• Proficiency in underwriting systems and analytics tools
