Job Summary
A company is looking for an Underwriting Compliance Specialist.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct audits of underwriting processes to ensure compliance with regulations and policies
- Evaluate risks associated with underwriting practices and maintain accurate records of audits and compliance assessments
- Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders and engage in continuous monitoring of underwriting activities
Required Qualifications and Education
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the Insurance Industry or Underwriting with a Bachelor's degree, or 3 years of experience with a Master's degree
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree in Finance, Business Operations, or Risk Management preferred
- Licenses: Minimum requirements for state P&C and/or surplus line licenses
- Preferred: Certified Internal Auditor (CIA)
- Related disciplines or commensurate work experience may be considered
