Arizona Licensed Wound Ostomy Nurse

Job Summary

To promote patient skin health, the full-time Arizona Licensed Wound Ostomy Nurse will collaborate with the healthcare team and families to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients with wounds or ostomies, working primarily in a telecommuting environment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' skin health and wound or ostomy conditions, identifying risk factors and documenting findings
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and document individualized nursing care plans, ensuring culturally sensitive outcomes
• Monitor treatment effectiveness and revise care plans based on evidence-based practices and patient needs, while participating in skin health initiatives

Required qualifications

• Current Arizona nursing license with specialization in wound and ostomy care
• Experience in pediatric nursing, particularly with infants, children, and young adults
• Certification as a Wound Ostomy Nurse (CWON) preferred
• Knowledge of evidence-based practices related to skin, wound, and ostomy care
• Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and educate patients and families
