Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Surgical Scheduler.

Key Responsibilities

• Schedules surgeries and high-level procedures, ensuring accurate patient data and physician requests
• Registers patients and gathers critical demographic, medical, and financial information for care and reimbursement
• Coordinates surgery schedules and verifies availability of necessary resources and equipment

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• Associate's Degree in a related healthcare field; medical terminology specialization preferred
• High School Diploma or GED required
• 1 year of related experience in healthcare scheduling/clerical with ICD10, CPT coding knowledge required
• 2 to 3 years of experience as a scheduler in the healthcare field preferred
• Completion of medical terminology class may be required within 6 months of hire
