Job Summary
To enhance the integrity of medical record documentation, the full-time remote Arkansas Licensed Clinical Documentation Specialist will conduct reviews of inpatient medical records, communicate documentation needs to clinical providers, and collaborate with various departments to improve documentation quality.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct reviews of inpatient medical records to identify and address missing or incomplete documentation
- Communicate with clinical providers and coding teams to ensure timely completion of additional documentation
- Provide data reports and educational support to healthcare providers on required documentation elements
Required qualifications
- Education: RN, BSN, RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CPC, CIC, CCDS, or CDIP required
- Minimum of 3 years of Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI) experience
- 1 year of experience in nursing, inpatient coding, utilization management, case management, or a related field
- Proficiency in data analysis and ability to present complex information to providers
- Strong clinical knowledge with the ability to identify diagnoses based on clinical data
