Job Summary

A company is looking for a Medical Reviewer - Psychiatrist - PRN (Remote within the U.S.).

Key Responsibilities

• Completes prior authorization and reviews for inpatient and outpatient behavioral health cases
• Collaborates with team members to ensure timely and accurate case completion
• Provides clinical expertise to improve clinical operations and represents the organization in state appeal processes

Required Qualifications

• Licensed Psychiatrist (MD/DO) in the State of Arkansas
• Board Certification
• Experience in Utilization Management and knowledge of Medicaid programs
• Familiarity with the Parity Rule regarding Mental Health and Substance Use Disorder Services
• Knowledge of psychiatric disorders and standards of practice related to determining the Level of Care
