Job Summary

As a full-time Art Director for Romance, the candidate will drive the design and execution of innovative book covers across assigned imprints, taking ownership of creative strategy while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a hybrid or remote work environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Take ownership of creative strategies for assigned titles, ensuring strong market positioning
• Design and art direct compelling, high-impact book covers from concept to final production
• Collaborate with editorial, marketing, and sales teams to align creative vision with business goals

Required qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience in book publishing design or a related creative field
• An exceptional portfolio demonstrating strong typography and art direction expertise
• High-level proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and understanding of bookmaking and printing processes
• Exceptional organizational and project management skills with the ability to handle multiple deadlines
• Strategic problem-solving skills, balancing creative vision with budget and business goals
