Job Summary
Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the ASA Licensed Actuary Consultant will serve as a technical expert for medium to complex projects, collaborating with leadership to develop strategies and processes while performing advanced actuarial analyses and oversight.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and manage moderate to complex analyses, developing execution plans for mid-size engagements
- Analyze actuarial data related to pricing, experience analysis, and product development, while recommending actuarial assumptions and methods
- Prepare actuarial justifications and communications, and assist in developing departmental policies and SOPs
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Actuarial Science, Finance, Mathematics, or related field, or 4 additional years of relevant work experience in lieu of a degree
- Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) certification required upon hire
- 4 years of progressively responsible actuarial experience in health care
- Highly developed analytical skills and ability to convey complex actuarial issues clearly
- Experience in guiding and mentoring less experienced staff or leading matrixed resources
