Job Summary

Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the ASA Licensed Actuary Consultant will serve as a technical expert for medium to complex projects, collaborating with leadership to develop strategies and processes while performing advanced actuarial analyses and oversight.

Key responsibilities
  • Lead and manage moderate to complex analyses, developing execution plans for mid-size engagements
  • Analyze actuarial data related to pricing, experience analysis, and product development, while recommending actuarial assumptions and methods
  • Prepare actuarial justifications and communications, and assist in developing departmental policies and SOPs
Required qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Actuarial Science, Finance, Mathematics, or related field, or 4 additional years of relevant work experience in lieu of a degree
  • Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) certification required upon hire
  • 4 years of progressively responsible actuarial experience in health care
  • Highly developed analytical skills and ability to convey complex actuarial issues clearly
  • Experience in guiding and mentoring less experienced staff or leading matrixed resources
