ASA Licensed Managing Actuary

Job Summary

To drive impactful analysis and medical cost improvement strategies, the full-time salaried ASA Licensed Managing Actuary will collaborate with leadership and supervise a team while working remotely from anywhere within the continental US.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with senior leadership to develop and implement medical cost improvement strategies
• Direct a team in producing detailed actuarial models that project financial performance of value-based contracts
• Forecast financial results and identify opportunities and risks related to value-based contracts

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, actuarial science, economics, or related field; advanced degree preferred
• ASA certification by the Society of Actuaries required; FSA preferred
• 6.5 years of experience in actuarial work within health insurance or managed care
• Experience with value-based provider contracts and trend analysis preferred
• In-depth understanding of health insurance market dynamics
