ASCP Certified Pathology Coordinator

Job Summary

Working remotely on a temporary basis, the part-time ASCP Certified Pathology Coordinator will review pathology tissue samples for accuracy, interpret related reports, and collaborate with team members to resolve discrepancies while meeting daily case metrics.

Key responsibilities

• Leverage multiple information sources to review cases for accuracy and completeness of pathology tissue samples
• Interpret pathology reports and clinical notes to complete data entry for each tissue sample
• Ensure timely resolution of discrepancies and confirm cancer types for the reporting team

Required qualifications

• BS/BA degree preferred; High School Diploma or equivalent required
• 2+ years of medical industry-related experience, preferably in pathology
• Previous data entry experience is required
• Typing speed of at least 45 wpm with high accuracy
• Trained on all product types and knowledgeable in the Sample Review process and SOPs
