Seeking a talented Asia Editor, the full-time remote position will manage the expansion of Semafor's Asia-based reporting team, shape the Asia vision and product, and deliver insightful coverage on business, economics, technology, and energy for a sophisticated audience.

Key responsibilities

• Work with leadership to define and implement Semafor's Asia vision and product strategy
• Recruit and build a reporting team focused on Asia, anchoring coverage across all platforms
• Write and produce compelling stories that engage a globally aware audience interested in Asia's dynamics

Required qualifications

• 10+ years of journalism experience, particularly in covering Asia
• Proven leadership experience in a newsroom environment
• Strong background in global financial and business journalism
• Ability to identify and develop strategic themes across sectors and borders
• Experience working collaboratively with diverse teams and a passion for world events
