ASL Interpreter

Job Summary

To support a growing team, experienced American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreters will provide remote interpretation services for Limited English Proficient (LEP) patients, advocating for their access to healthcare while working on a contract basis with a flexible schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Provide interpretation services for LEP patients, families, and healthcare providers
• Advocate for patients' access to healthcare services and ensure culturally sensitive communication
• Maintain patient privacy and safety while delivering exceptional customer service

Required qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as an ASL Interpreter, preferably in a medical setting
• Fluency in spoken and written English and ASL interpreting
• Professional level medical interpreting skills
• Certifications such as K-12, NIC, CI, or EIC are desirable but not mandatory
