Assembler Programmer
Job Summary
A company is looking for an Assembler Programmer to contribute to the modernization of legacy Assembler systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze existing ALC software and produce technical documentation for Java code development
- Collaborate with Java developers to support code migration from Assembler to Java
- Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade software while assisting in defect resolution
Required Qualifications
- Extensive experience with Assembler Language Coding (ALC)
- Hands-on experience with mainframe systems, including JCL and TSO
- Experience with Linux, z/OS, and bash shell scripting is highly desired
- A bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, engineering, or a related field is preferred
- Ability to obtain a Department of Treasury Minimum Background Investigation (MBI) is required
