Assessment Writer/Editor

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Assessment Item Writer/Editor (Contract).

Key Responsibilities:

• Create, review, edit, and revise test items based on state standards and grade-level appropriateness
• Develop well-rounded assessments according to blueprints to meet customer needs
• Collaborate with the assessment content team while working independently to meet deadlines

Required Qualifications:

• Strong professional assessment writing and/or editing experience
• Understanding of well-composed and balanced assessment items
• Ability to write assessment items for K-12 students with knowledge of Depth of Knowledge and text complexity
• Deep knowledge of academic standards for designing aligned assessments
• Subject-matter expertise in ELA, math, science, or social studies
