Job Summary

To support the Corporate Actuarial Life Insurance Valuation team, the full-time Assistant Actuary - ASA Required will perform quarterly statutory and PBR valuations, develop analytical tools, and collaborate across functional areas in a hybrid or remote work environment.

Key responsibilities
  • Perform quarterly statutory and tax valuations for life insurance products and produce detailed reserve movement analyses
  • Partner with the Liability Product Owner to ensure data integrity and model soundness through governance procedures and user acceptance testing
  • Contribute to VM-20 actuarial assumption setting and testing, including mortality and lapse rates, while managing valuation data pipelines
Required qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, or equivalent required
  • 3-5 years of life insurance valuation experience with hands-on experience in VM-20 statutory valuation
  • ASA designation required, with active pursuit of FSA strongly preferred
  • 1-3 years of Prophet modeling experience; PBR modeling experience strongly preferred
  • Experience with SQL, Snowflake, and Power BI preferred
