Job Summary

To support the Corporate Actuarial Life Insurance Valuation team, the full-time Assistant Actuary - ASA Required will perform quarterly statutory and PBR valuations, develop analytical tools, and collaborate across functional areas, with the option to work remotely or in a hybrid setting.

Key responsibilities
  • Perform quarterly statutory and PBR valuations for life insurance products, ensuring compliance with valuation controls and producing reserve movement analyses
  • Partner with the Liability Product Owner to complete valuation tasks, ensuring data integrity and model accuracy through established governance procedures
  • Contribute to VM-20 actuarial assumption setting and testing, participating in working groups to assess the impact of proposed changes
Required qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, or equivalent required
  • 3-5 years of life insurance valuation experience with hands-on VM-20 statutory valuation required
  • ASA designation required; active pursuit of FSA strongly preferred
  • 1-3 years of Prophet modeling experience; PBR modeling experience strongly preferred
  • Hands-on experience in SQL, Snowflake, and Power BI preferred
