Assistant Actuary - Model Development

Job Summary

Seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Assistant Actuary - Model Development, this full-time position can be hybrid or remote and focuses on developing and testing actuarial models while ensuring compliance with Model Risk Management policies and procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and test Prophet models for various product types, adhering to coding standards and optimization objectives
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand model changes, develop test plans, and assist in model acceptance
• Manage large-scale development initiatives and document processes and decisions made throughout the model development life cycle

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field
• 3-5+ years of relevant experience, including knowledge of FIS Prophet actuarial system
• Advanced understanding of insurance products, actuarial theory, and industry regulations
• Ability to perform detailed calculations and document processes thoroughly
• Associate or Fellow of the Society of Actuaries designation is desired
